Sombrilla

Ok - so remember how in this post Sun Shade I was all about the Sombrilla and thought it was the best thing ever? Well I pulled the trigger and bought one!

I know crazy! 

It is super pretty and classy!

So we took it to the beach over the weekend:

But it was too windy to put up. :(

How windy?

Windy enough for someone to have a para sail and go para sail boarding on the ocean

That guy had to hold onto his umbrella to keep it from blowing away. It was amazing how he could read and hold on to his umbrella at the same time. Plus he had little vents at the top so it wouldn't flip the umbrella up.

Suffice it to say Denny Monster and I got burned. Even though we used sunblock - we just didn't apply it as often as we should have and had no shade.

We hope to go to the beach again soon when there isn't a thunderstorm blowing in (we left 5 min before it just started to pour rain).

P.S. - I also wrote to the maker of the Sombrilla and said they should totally make a YouTube video of how to put one up - because Denny Monster and I were having a bit of an issue figuring out how to set the thing up and the fact that the wind was blowing so hard didn't make it any easier.
